Vanessa Gillette Pozos - Founder

Vanessa is the Founder and CEO of Vital Spark. After graduating from the University of Georgia and spending a few years in Advertising and Accounting, she realized that her true passion was helping women rediscover how great they can feel in their bodies with nutrition & fitness. After having spent years battling her weight and disordered eating, a flame sparked within her wanting to help other women discover freedom in their bodies too. She started online coaching in 2019, but it quickly grew from a passion project to a 7-figure business with multiple other specialty coaches. Over the course of her career, she found herself struggling with hormonal imbalances and gut dysfunction, which led her to further her education and expertise into functional health. Vanessa is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, Certified Hormone Health Coach, Certified Functional Health Coach, and Certified Health Mindset Coaching Specialist, and she loves to spend her free time riding horses, playing with her dog, or binge-watching Netflix with her husband, Omar.

Olivia Glosser - Coach

Olivia has 4+ years of experience as an online health & fitness coach. She specializes in metabolic health, pre & postnatal fitness & nutrition, food freedom, and ditching the all-or-nothing-mindset. She graduated from Impact Fitness Coaching Academy in 2020 and furthered her specialization in Perinatal Nutrition as a Certified Girls Gone Strong Pre & Postnatal Expert and Metabolic Mentor University Functional Health Coach in 2024. Her passion for helping women get out of the yo-yo diet cycle started with her own journey of losing 40lbs sustainably and building a healthy relationship with food. Now she loves to show women how to work WITH their bodies instead of constantly fighting against them! Liv lives in Northern California and is also a mom, loves shopping, and she can complete a Sudoku puzzle in 3 minutes!

Rae Trahan - Coach

Rae is a Registered Dietitian, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Nicholls State University. She is also a Certified Integrative and Functional Nutritionist and Functional Health Expert, specializing in Autoimmune Diseases, Infertility, and Gut Health. Her journey started with her own battles with disordered eating, followed by years of battling acne, hormonal imbalances, and gut issues. After discovering how good it feels to be healthy and free with food, she narrowed her focus as a dietitian into helping other women struggling with the same! She has helped clients achieve goals such as natural pregnancies after years of infertility, clear up gut related issues such as SIBO, put autoimmune diseases in remission, come off of multiple medications, and overcome weight loss resistance. Rae lives in Louisiana with her fiancé and pup, and loves to visit Disney as often as possible!

MacKenzie Bowman - Coach

MacKenzie has a bachelors in exercise science, a masters in Kinesiology, a masters in nursing, and a combined 9+ years as a labor and delivery nurse, athletic trainer and online coach! She is passionate about health and fitness with a daughter of her own who she hopes never has to struggle with weight loss the way she did... As a former college athlete, she was shocked to find that her body completely changed after having kids and nothing seemed to work anymore! That's when she dove into functional health, healing her hormone & gut health to transform her postpartum body into one that she is happy and confident in. She is passionate about helping women change their bodies now so that we can change the future for our daughters and their daughters. MacKenzie lives outside of Nashville, TN with her husband, 2 kiddos and 2 pups- keeping busy coaching her kids' sports teams and hiking or boating any chance she can get!

Whitney Moncrief - Coach

Whitney is a dedicated women's coaching specialist who made a pivotal career shift after spending 6 years as a certified nursing assistant. After losing her mother to breast cancer at a young age, Whitney turned her pain into purpose, dedicating her career to unlocking women's health. In 2018, she graduated from the International Sports Science Association and later earned her Bachelor's in Health and Wellness from the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2021. That same year, she expanded her expertise by becoming a Girls Gone Strong Women's Coaching Specialist. As a mother of two beautiful little girls, Whitney understands the challenges of balancing motherhood and self-care. Having navigated her own journey with a hypothyroidism diagnosis, she proves that no diagnosis or circumstance can hold you back from reaching your goals. Whit lives with her family outside of Asheville, NC, where they love to hike and spend as much time as they can outdoors!

Jodi Stonehocker - Coach

Jodi has been a nutrition coach since 2015, with multiple certifications including CrossFit Level 1 & 2, Precision Nutrition, MMU Level 1, and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. Her passion for helping women started with her own journey, growing up watching her parents experience multiple health challenges and seeing her mom in and out of doctors offices... she knew she wanted to put herself on a different path of better health. She was always athletic, from competitive cheerleading to CrossFit, but eventually her body could no longer handle overtraining and undereating, and she developed Hashimotos. This is what led her down the path of functional health, realizing that so many women like herself need more than basic nutrition and fitness coaching. Now she has her Hashimotos in remission and loves to teach other women how to live a balanced life with holistic health habits. Jodi lives in Utah with her husband and 5 & 7 year old boys. They are an active family who love skiing, surfing, hiking, and anything outdoors!

Elizabeth McMillin - Coach

Elizabeth is a MMU certified Functional Health Practitioner and Functional Nutrition Coach with advanced knowledge & experience in metabolic health, autoimmunity, fertility, gut issues, and more. Her passion for functional health stems from her own challenges as a child and teen, facing constant gut pain, inflammation, and dysfunction that left her battling food sensitivities, a sluggish metabolism, constant bloating, knife like pains in her gut, and a persistent stomach pudge she couldn’t shake. Determined to take control of her health, she uncovered the root causes of her symptoms, healed her gut, and built up her metabolism! Her healing journey along with overcoming a difficult pregnancy has led to her passion for empowering women to reconnect with their bodies, uncover root causes, and achieve sustainable wellness. Elizabeth is a boy mom to a 3 year old and 4 month old, residing in Oceanside, California with her husband and boys!

Krista Moreland - Coach

Krista Moreland is a Certified Macro-Nutrition Coach, Precision Nutrition Level 1 & 2 Coach, Certified Life Coach, and former two-sport collegiate athlete with a Master’s in Secondary Education. For over a decade, she’s helped thousands of women lose weight, heal their relationship with food, and finally feel at home in their bodies—all while leading their families with strength and joy. But her passion runs deeper than macros or meal plans. After battling postpartum depression, gaining over 60 pounds, and feeling like a stranger in her own skin, Krista hit a breaking point that became a turning point. She knows the pain of looking in the mirror and not recognizing the woman staring back—and she knows the fight it takes to come back home to yourself. That’s why she’s devoted her life to guiding other women through their own transformation—rebuilding confidence, rewriting limiting beliefs, and reclaiming their power. Krista is a mom of three very active kiddos and wife to a Phoenix, Arizona Fire Chief.

Soraya Rufener - Coach

Soraya Rufener is a Registered Nurse, Certified Precision Nutrition Coach, GGS Pre & Postnatal Coach, and a total powerhouse when it comes to women’s health.⁣ With 7+ years of inpatient nursing experience, 5 years of online coaching, and extensive mentorship in women's hormones & metabolism under her belt, Soraya brings a rare combo of clinical expertise and deep, lived experience. She’s worked with hundreds of women—especially nurses and moms—to lose weight, regulate their hormones, and finally feel like themselves again.⁣ But she also knows what it’s like to feel stuck… having struggled with her weight until she discovered health coaching and ultimately lost 45 lbs (while working long shifts as a nurse at the same time). She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, two little ones (and one on the way!), and their sweet rescue pup!

Aaron Gilbert - Exercise Specialist

Aaron has been in the health and wellness industry for over 12 years. Initially, he sought exercise to escape the pain of 2 car accidents, but realized the reward was larger than just a pain free life. Now, with 2 daughters, he is passionate about modeling a healthier way of life for them and others. He has a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, is a certified personal trainer, and has multiple certifications and specialties in biomechanics; all of which he brings to our clients at Vital Spark through Mobility Assessments and custom training programming.

Omar Pozos - Metabolism Advisor

Omar graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014, and then moved to Atlanta. It was there that he found his passion for fitness and self-development. After going through his own weight loss transformation, he decided to embark on a career in the health & wellness space alongside his now wife, Vanessa. He loves connecting with people and giving them the fitness and nutrition secrets that he needed years ago when he struggled with his weight!
